Hi all!
I regularly come across interesting stuff with family and friends⦠A new hiking trail, an article that affects me, a new cocktail recipe, or like this week⦠WORDLE! Iāll save notes on my computer and they get buried, never to be seen again. Hereās my attempt to share what I find with friends⦠If you read some or all, I hope at least one of these things brings you joy. Iāll try to send an updated message regularlyā¦
š§® Interesting game Iām completely addicted to: WORDLE
There is only one puzzle per day, the instructions are simple (but take a few games to really grasp), and solving first thing in the morning regularly makes my day⦠or wrecks it š
When you try it, share your result with me!
š Interesting thing I read this week:
Daily Dad: They Could Be You Last Words
Bob Saget passed away this week and this BLOG post reminded me that no one knows what their last words will be. No one knows how much time they haveāin their job, on this planet, or with their kids. Hereās a clip:
It was just another show. After this one, the stand-up comedian had over twenty more on this tour alone. Before he went on stage, he got a text from his adult daughter. We donāt know what she said, but it wasnāt urgent.
He could have easily said to himself, Iāll respond later. Iāll call her in the morning. Weāve all done it.
It was Bob Saget, legendary standup, long-time host of Americaās Funniest Home Videos and, as Danny Tanner on Full House, āAmericaās Dadā, who got that text from his daughter. She was 34 years old. She wasnāt a child. But he took a second to send what neither of them could have known would be his last text. āThank u,ā he wrote, āLove u. Showtime!ā Hours later, heād be found dead, tragically, in his Orlando hotel room at age 65.
āInteresting thing I bought this week: Tire Chains
I did an unhealthy amount of research on tire chains in preparation for some mountain driving this winter. I learned a rare but essential quality of āgoodā chains is an auto-tightening feature⦠These have it and there are some great reviews. Iāll report back after I get to use themā¦
šø Interesting Cocktail Recipe:
I discovered my new favorite martini recipe in Stanley Tucciās book Taste: My Life Through Food (see below). Iām not a big martini guy but this one was fantastic⦠Drink it, and become a new person.
Thatās it for now, have a great week!
Pete
